In the work Kim Jong Il consummated in a monolithic way the philosophical principles of the Juche idea and its socio-historical and guiding principles, thus further developing this idea.

The publication of the work evoked a great sensation in the international community for its scientific accuracy, truth and invincible vitality.

Political and social circles of different countries praised the work as "new Communist Manifesto", "encyclopedic library that enriched the Juche idea" and "historic document that showed the true way for carving out the destiny of human being".

In less than one year after its publication the work was brought out in booklet by political parties and organizations in 140 odd countries. And, newspapers, magazines and bulletins in more than 90 countries carried the full text or gist of the work and articles explaining its main contents.

A brisk drive is going on worldwide to study the great Juche idea, the Songun idea.

International and national Juche idea study organizations, including International Institute of the Juche Idea, Asian Regional Institute of the Juche Idea, Latin American Institute of the Juche Idea and European Society for the Study of the Juche Idea, have jointly studied the idea on a regional and worldwide scale while conducting the dissemination of it among the broad masses of people.

In Juche 100 (2011) alone, the Juche idea was studied and disseminated in 130 odd countries and regions, and national, joint, regional and international seminars on it were held on more than 200 occasions.

Meanwhile last year witnessed the formation of 10 odd Juche idea study organizations, including the Khomsk City, Russia, Association for the Study of the Juche Idea, the Songun Idea, the Brazilian Center for the Study of the Juche Idea and the Study and Research Forum of Songun Politics of the National Press Club of Nepal. As a result the number of Juche idea study organizations formed in the new century increased to 115 in 37 countries.

The Juche idea serves as the guiding idea in the era of independence.
