Mun Kyong Dok, secretary of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea and chief secretary of the Pyongyang City Committee of the WPK, told KCNA:

"It was moral obligation for us, soldiers and disciples of Kim Jong Il, to express deep condolences over his demise. Nevertheless, Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un highly appreciated our conduct, saying that he was deeply touched by the infinite loyalty manifested by all servicepersons and people and drew enormous strength and courage from them.

I will do a lot of good things for the people and find myself among them to settle problems for improving their living conditions, true to the intention of Kim Jong Un with warm love for the people."

Ri Pyong Hwan, a general officer of the Korean People's Army, said:

"We, servicepersons and people, trust in and follow Kim Jong Un as Heaven, and he regards us as his comrades-in-arms in the same boat.

The men and officers of the KPA will fully demonstrate the might of the revolutionary army of Mt. Paektu in national defence and socialist construction, arm in arm and shoulder in shoulder with the Supreme Commander."

An Jong Su, minister of Light Industry, said:

"Though Kim Jong Il passed away, his noble idea of believing in the people as in Heaven are still kept in our minds.

True to the leadership of Kim Jong Un, I will devote myself to the people's happiness while working hard for improvement of the people's living standard."
