Displayed there were photos of immortal feats the President and General Secretary Kim Jong Il performed in the struggle for the country's reunification and the overseas compatriots movement and photos of progress made by Songun Korea.

Present there were officials of the confederation and other Koreans, the charge d'affaires ad interim of the DPRK embassy and members of the delegation of the Committee for Overseas Koreans.

Pak Kyong Ho, chairman of the confederation, made a speech.

He said:

The President was an outstanding thinker and theoretician, genius of leadership and the father of the people, possessed of the modest and noble personality.

His idea and feats are displaying their great vitality with the flow of the time and they will serve as a banner indicating the road to be followed by mankind forever.
