All the production processes ranging from the feed of raw materials to the packing of finished products form an integrated control system, making the factory an exemplary one in the new century and a model in the foodstuff industry.

The renovation helps lay a solid foundation for supplying the Pyongyang citizens with quality confectionery.

A ceremony for the completion took place on Friday.

Present there were Choe Yong Rim, premier of the Cabinet, Mun Kyong Dok, chief secretary of the Pyongyang City Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea who doubles as secretary of the WPK Central Committee, and officials concerned.

The premier read a message of thanks sent by the WPK Central Committee to the employees of the factory and builders who made a good job in the modernization project.
