U.S., S. Korea Stage Large-scale Joint Landing Exercise

| Pyongyang, March 30 (KCNA) -- The U.S. imperialist aggressor forces and troops of the Marine Corps of the south Korean puppet army staged a large-scale joint landing exercise in Phohang, North Kyongsang Province on Thursday. Involved in it were nearly 10,000 troops including at least 6,000 U.S. troops in Japan. The warmongers deployed landing craft in waters off Phohang and staged the saber-rattling, sending landing vehicles to the shore in succession. They staged the largest-ever landing exercise since the Team Spirit joint military exercises in 1989, openly advertising it as a drill under the simulated conditions of contingency on the Korean Peninsula. This is a clear indication of their wild ambition to invade the DPRK. |
