Present at the event were Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, members of the royal family, Kong Sam Ol, deputy prime minister in charge of the Royal Palace, Khieu Kanharith, minister of Information, Him Chaem, minister of Culture and Arts, Chhorn Hay, Cambodian Ambassador to DPRK, Johnny Hon, chairman of the International Kim Il Sung Foundation, and his party, members of the DPRK government delegation led by Kim Chang Ryong, councilor of the Foreign Ministry, Hong Ki Chol, DPRK ambassador to Cambodia, and a staff member of his embassy.

The chairman of the International Kim Il Sung Foundation handed the diploma, medal and souvenir to King Norodom Sihamoni authorized by Great King Norodom Sihanouk.

The king said he was pleased to receive the International Kim Il Sung Prize awarded to the great king on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Kim Il Sung.

This gives us a good opportunity of boosting the ties of friendship and solidarity between Cambodia and the DPRK, the king added, and continued:

Taking this opportunity, I pay highest tribute to His Excellency Generalissimo Kim Il Sung, the great leader of the Korean people.

His Excellency the great General Secretary Kim Jong Il will always be remembered by the Korean and other people of the world.

I sincerely wish His Excellency Kim Jong Un, the supreme leader of the party, army and people of the DPRK, good health and fresh success in the noble cause of nation-building and national defense.

I wish the dearest and fraternal Korean people peace, progress and prosperity.
