They included meetings, book and photo exhibitions, film shows and lectures in Myanmar, Switzerland, Guinea and Ukraine.

Displayed in the venues of the exhibitions were books and photos of the brilliant revolutionary careers and exploits of Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.

Win Maung Kyaw, executive member of the Nay Pyi Taw Regional Committee of the Union Solidarity and Development Party, Union of Myanmar, said in his speech that it is a noble duty of the world progressive people to commemorate the centenary of the birth of the President with splendor as a great political festival common to humankind.

Martin Lotscher, chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee, noted that upcoming events including the Conference of the Workers' Party of Korea and the launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong-3 would brilliantly decorate the centenary of the birth of the President and demonstrate the might and dignity of the DPRK to the world.

Banou Keita, chairman of the Guinea-Korea Friendship Association, in a lecture titled "Great Man Kim Il Sung" praised the President as an outstanding leader who wisely led global independence.

Nikolai Polishk, chairman of the Ukrainian "Treasured Sword of Songun" Association for the Study of the Juche Idea, in a lecture titled "Life of Comrade Kim Il Sung who Adhered to the Motto of Believing in the People as in Heaven" praised the undying exploits the President performed for the Korean revolution and human cause of independence.

A message to the dear respected Kim Jong Un was adopted at the event in Switzerland.
