Tower of the Juche Idea Introduced in Bangladesh

| Pyongyang, April 1 (KCNA) -- The Bangladesh Institute of the Juche Idea issued bulletin "The Tower of the Juche Idea" on Mar. 26 to commemorate the centenary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung. The bulletin said: When you go to Pyongyang, the capital of the DPRK, you may watch a torch that seems to be ablaze on the top of the tower standing on the banks of the Taedong River. That is the torch of the Tower of the Juche Idea, the highest stone tower in the world. The tower was unveiled in April 1982 to symbolize the greatness and immortality of the Juche idea founded by Kim Il Sung, the founder of socialist Korea, to mark the 70th anniversary of his birth. The groups of subsidiary sculptures on both sides of the tower depict the achievements made by Korean people upholding the banner of the Juche idea under the leadership of the President. The tower is visited by many Koreans and foreigners. |
