Kim Il Sung's Birth Anniversary Commemorated in Different Countries

Pyongyang, April 1 (KCNA) -- Meetings, seminars and photo exhibitions took place in Cuba, Romania, Colombia, Egypt and Uganda between March 23 and 26 to commemorate the centenary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung. On display in their venues were photos on the undying revolutionary career and feats of Kim Il Sung and photos on the achievements made by the army and people of the DPRK in socialist construction. Juan Jose Leon Vega, chairman of the Cuban Preparatory Committee for Commemorating the Centenary of the Birth of President Kim Il Sung, said that the President liberated Korea through an armed struggle and led the Fatherland Liberation War to victory, starting the U.S. imperialists on the downhill and turning the DPRK into a socialist land of bliss in a short period. Constantin Rotaru, chairman of the Romanian Socialist Union who is chairman of the Romanian Joint Preparatory Committee for Commemorating the Centenary of the Birth of President Kim Il Sung, praised the President as the great father and distinguished leader of the Korean people who devoted himself to the liberation of the country, the freedom and happiness of its people, the world peace and security and the cause of global independence all his life. Yehia Zakaria Khairullah, chairman of the Egyptian Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, and a reporter and speakers lauded the President as the most famous person who laid a solid foundation for accomplishing the cause of independence against imperialism. Jairo Gonzalez Trujillo, president of the Group for the Study of the Juche Idea "Kanggye" of Colombia, said that Kim Il Sung was born in a revolutionary and patriotic family, embarked upon the road of revolution with a great will for liberating Korea and founded the undying Juche idea. |
