Accusing some media of finding fault with China's budget for defense, the spokesperson said China hopes all parties concerned will take professional and responsible attitude in assessing its defense budget.

The increase in the budget for Chinese national defense is a normal requirement for ensuring the security of the country and conforms with the level of economic and social development, the spokesperson noted.

Pointing to cyberattack, the spokesperson said China is its victim but has never chided other countries under this pretext.

It is the view of China that such criticism only increases mutual skepticism and is not helpful to settling relevant issues.
