Peace activists and many other people, who took part in the demonstration, denounced the authorities for planning to deploy interceptor missiles on the islands of Okinawa and Ishigaki.

They held a meeting outside the prefectural office before marching along the city streets. They said dangerous act that may lead to a war should be avoided, strongly condemning the authorities' moves for missile deployment.
