Letters in Praise of Great Man Carved on Natural Rock near Pakyon Falls
Pyongyang, April 5 (KCNA) -- The following letters were carved on a natural rock near Pakyon Falls in Kaesong city on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung:

"Our eternal leader Comrade Kim Il Sung

Dedicated to the centenary of the birth of the leader, April 15, Juche 101 (2012)."

The total length of the letters is 37 meters, the height of his august name is 5 meters, width 2.9 meters, width of strokes 0.8 meter and depth 0.45 meter, the height of other letters 4.1 meters, width 2.4 meters, width of strokes 0.7 meter and depth 0.35 meter.

The letters, representing the will of all the service personnel and people of the DPRK to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche started by Kim Il Sung generation after generation, are an immortal monument which will always shine along with the Songun era.

An unveiling ceremony was held on Thursday.

Among those present there were Kim Ki Nam, secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Pak Thae Dok, chief secretary of the North Hwanghae Provincial Committee of the WPK, Ri Won Il, chairman of the North Hwanghae Provincial People's Committee, and Kim Yong Il, chief secretary of the Kaesong City Committee of the WPK, and others.

Kim Ki Nam said in his speech at the ceremony that the people in Kaesong city carved the letters near Pakyon Falls associated with Kim Il Sung's leadership feats, reflecting the desire of all the people to eternally glorify his revolutionary feats.

He stressed the need to preserve with care the letters so that the unanimous loyalty and desire of the service personnel and people of the DPRK might be conveyed to posterity.

At the end of the ceremony there was a briefing on the letters.
