Present there were officials of ministries, national institutions, social organizations and health service, old people in Pyongyang, representatives and staff members of missions of international organizations including the WHO mission in the DPRK, members of the delegations of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and the International Committee of the Red Cross working in the DPRK and staff members of foreign embassies here.

Speakers at the event noted that this year WHO has called for increasing social concern for public health.

They underscored the need to intensify researches and treatment for protecting the health of the aged and health care for them and thus satisfactorily solve the issue of health of the aged.

Its participants watched a video on living customs and aging and picture-drawing of old people.

They looked round photos of the health of the aged and watched their sports and amusement games.

Intensive information service on aging and health took place in all provinces on the same day.
