Pyongyang, April 6 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung had paid big efforts to modeling the whole society on the Juche idea, thus turning the DPRK into a politically and ideologically strong socialist state in the 1980s.

At the 6th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea held in October Juche 69 (1980), he declared the modeling of the whole society on the Juche idea a general task for the Korean revolution.

Modeling the whole of society after the Juche idea means realizing the complete independence of the working masses by remoulding all members of society into communists of a Juche-type and transforming all aspects of social life in accordance with the Juche idea.

To this end, Kim Il Sung underscored the need to firmly maintain independent and creative stand and implement the line of three revolutions -- ideological, technical and cultural.

He also worked hard to transform all social members on a revolutionary, working-class and intellectual pattern and put the national economy on a Juche-oriented, modern and scientific basis.

Meanwhile, he conducted energetic activities to develop the WPK into a Juche-oriented revolutionary party.

He paid close attention to establishing the party's monolithic ideological system, consolidating the ideological unity between the party and the revolutionary ranks with leader Kim Jong Il as the centre, and defending and carrying forward the party's revolutionary tradition.

In the mid-1980s when ruling parties in some socialist countries were beginning to take a wrong road, he published a famous work "Historical Experience of Building the Workers' Party of Korea" to introduce the experiences gained in party building and activities.

In April 1982, he set modeling the whole army on the Juche idea as a general task for beefing up the army and wisely led the efforts to strengthen the Korean People's Army in political and ideological and military technological aspects.

Considering that the army's might rests with politico-ideological advantage, not with equipment, he saw to it that the party's monolithic ideological system was established in the KPA.

In particular, he energetically pushed ahead with ensuring Kim Jong Il's commanding system throughout the army.

As a result, all social fields were transformed to meet the requirements of the Juche idea, which made it possible for the DPRK to continue advancing along the road of socialism, not affected by any external situation.
