The letter recalled that the Lee regime and the party have brought all sorts of misfortunes and disasters to the south Korean people.

It continued:

The south Korean youth and students are suffering more than any others due to the deterioration of the people's living resulting from serious joblessness, snowballing registration fees, sky-rocketing commodity prices, etc.

Democracy once won through a bloody struggle for several decades was wantonly violated, the people's rights ruthlessly trampled down and they are groaning in distress. Such reality in south Korea calls on the youth to display resolution and courage to hew out their destiny by their own efforts.

Whoever hates injustice and loves justice should respond to the above-said call with practice.

It is a solemn order of the era and necessity of history to judge the regime of traitors and bury it for democratic reforms, new things and those people who account for 99 percent of the population.

The south Korean youth and students should come out as one in the polling stations for judging the regime for which they had been waiting for so long, waving their voting cards like placards for overthrowing dictatorship and the Lee regime.

All the young people should not be taken in by the deceptive trick of the "Saenuri Party" but turn out in the election to demonstrate the firm will of themselves and other people to sternly punish the group of traitors.

You young people have an important duty to distinguish between war and peace, democracy and dictatorship and patriotism and treachery and decide future.

It is our firm belief that the south Korean youth and students will certainly inflict a heavy defeat upon the conservative regime and the "Saenuri Party" in the forthcoming election and give further momentum to the movement for independence and democracy in south Korean society and the strong trend in the June 15 era of reunification as required by the expectation and desire of the whole nation.
