New Strain of Flower Cultivated

Pyongyang, April 10 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Floriculture Institute has cultivated a new strain of flower. It is a perennial flowering plant that belongs to cymbidium lillian stewart. This plant is 50-60 cm high and its flower stalk 45-50 cm high. It brings out 10-15 racemes. 10-11 cm in diameter, a blossom has three calyxes and three petals. One of the petals is labiate. The flower has a light pink color with purplish tints spotted, and comes into bloom for three months, starting in December. Resistant to 5 degrees C and 30 degrees C, it can be easily cultivated. The dear respected Kim Jong Un saw the flower and named it Manbokia. |
