Present there were officials of the China Association for International Friendly Contact and the Beijing Association for International Friendly Contact and families of those related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle. Present there on invitation were the charge d'affaires a.i. and staff members of the DPRK embassy in Beijing.

The participants watched video "Eternal assets praising the sun" introducing the DPRK.

Speeches were made at the meeting.

Li Xiaohua, vice-president of the China Association for International Friendly Contact, said that the President, a close friend of the Chinese people, provided and brought into bloom the Sino-DPRK friendship together with Chairman Mao Zedong, Premier Zhou Enlai and other revolutionaries of the elder generation of China.

Liu Xiaohua, member of a family related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, noted that general secretary Kim Jong Il visited China nine times to put spurs to the development of the traditional DPRK-China friendship, adding that the President and Kim Jong Il will be alive in the hearts of the peoples of China and the DPRK.
