Kim Yong Rok, general of the KPA, told KCNA:

"Kim Jong Un's election as first secretary of the WPK and chairman of its Central Military Commission marks a great turning point in the development of the Party and the country.

He started his political activities in the KPA and has made signal contribution to the development of the revolutionary armed forces with his energetic guidance over the military affairs.

Only victory and glory are in store for our Party and people following him, their supreme leader."

An officer of the KPA, Ku Ho Gil, said:

"His election reflected the unanimous will and desire of all the Party members and people, and it is an epoch-making event displaying the true picture of Songun Korea where the servicepersons and civilians are united as one in mind around their leader.

We, servicepersons, will go along the road of Songun to the last under the guidance of Kim Jong Un."

An officer of the KPA, Yun Pong Ho, said:

"The 4th WPK Conference served as a turning point of history in strengthening the WPK into the eternal party of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.

The idea and leadership of Kim Jong Un is the lifeline of our Party and revolutionary armed forces.

We will surely build a thriving socialist nation, as desired by Kim Jong Il, with the might of single-minded unity of the leader, the party, the army and the people."
