His election as the WPK first secretary represents the people's appreciation for his undying feats."

Ri Jong Gwan, an officer of the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, said:

He is guiding the revolutionary cause of Juche to victory with infinite loyalty to Kim Jong Il and distinguished leadership ability.
