Kim Il Sung Cares So Much for Popular Masses
|
|
Pyongyang, April 13 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung in his lifetime would say that he was greatly blessed in good people. He highly appreciated them for having defeated two imperialisms, U.S. and Japanese aggressor forces and worked epoch-making miracles in building the nation and for being invariably loyal to their leader. It is only the people of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea who were considered to be a blessing to their leader. In April Juche 81 (1992), a delegation of Washington Times was honored with the audience of the President in Pyongyang, when they asked him about his hobby. He told them it was his hobby to read and go among the people. Next year, the President met a visiting delegation of the October 8 Revolutionary Movement of Brazil. At that time, the party was seized with agony over the collapse of socialism in the former Soviet Union and other East European countries. He told them that the lesson he drew from his protracted work was: Revolutionaries, believe in the people and rely on them at all times and you shall always emerge victorious; if you are forsaken by them, you will always fail. This represents the steadfast belief the President had in the popular masses. |
