The session modified and supplemented "Socialist Constitution of the DPRK" in such a way that Kim Jong Il will be held as eternal chairman of the NDC. The session solemnly declared that it was adopted as an ordinance of the Supreme People's Assembly in reflection of the ardent desire and will of the whole party and army and all the people. Kim Jong Il established the state political system for comprehensively embodying the Songun politics in the revolution and construction when the Korean revolution was undergoing the worst difficulties and put the DPRK's political and military might on the top phase, thereby opening a great heyday of building a thriving socialist nation unprecedented in the 5,000-year history of the nation.

All the participants broke into rousing cheers of "Hurrah!" in excitement and pleasure of holding the great sun of Songun in high esteem forever along with the prospering DPRK.

That he is held in high esteem as the eternal leader of our revolution is an expression of the deepest reverence and praise for the legendary great man who firmly defended the Songun tradition of the Korean revolution with his outstanding Songun idea and revolutionary leadership, guaranteed the ever-victorious future of Kim Il Sung's Korea by further developing the DPRK government into a powerful political weapon for accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche and made great contributions to national reunification and global independence.

By holding Generalissimo Kim Jong Il in high esteem for all ages at the top post of the DPRK, the Korean people have become able to glorify his outstanding exploits in the Songun revolutionary leadership for all ages along with the eternal history of the sun's Korea. It also made it possible for the DPRK to always demonstrate its dignity as the country of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

The session fully displayed all over the world the strong will and noble moral obligation of the army and people of the DPRK to regard the exploits performed in the Songun revolution by Kim Jong Il, who devoted himself to the prosperity of the country and the victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche till the last moments of his sacred life, as the precious wealth of the party and the revolution and eternal guidelines. They are full of resolve to unite close around the dear respected Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the party, state and army of the DPRK, accomplish with arms the revolutionary cause of Juche, the cause of Songun revolution that was started and has developed with arms, and turn the idea of Kim Jong Il into reality.
