The first work, published on Sept. 7, 1981, clarifies that it is required by the present era to maintain independence in party and state activities and the Juche idea is a man-centered philosophy.

The second work, published on June 25, 1973, clarifies the contents, significance and validity of the said policy.

The policy calls for defusing the military confrontation and tensions between the north and the south, realizing many-sided cooperation and interchange between them, convening the Great National Congress composed of representatives of the people from all walks of life and representatives of political parties and social organizations in the north and the south and establishing a north-south federation under a single national nomenclature.

Book releasing ceremonies were held on April 6.

Meanwhile, Iranian newspaper Iran News on April 8 carried the full text of Kim Il Sung's work "Let Us Achieve the Great Unity of Our Nation".

The work, published on August 1, 1991, clarifies the idea that the Korean nation is responsible for the country's reunification and indicates tasks for achieving the great unity of the entire nation and ways to do so.
