Kim Il Sung's Birth Anniversary Marked Abroad

Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- Events took place in various countries to mark the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung. They included meetings, book and photo exhibitions, film shows in Mongolia, Benin, Sweden, Laos, Nepal and Pakistan between April 3 and 7. The president of the Socialist Party of Benin said the President was the father of the nation-building who built the DPRK into the country for people and developed it into a socialist power standing unfazed in any storm and stress for the first time in the national history spanning 5 000 years. The chairman of the Lao-DPRK Friendship Association said President Kim Il Sung was an outstanding leader who defeated U.S. imperialism for the first time in history by wisely leading the Korean people. The minister of Commerce and Supplies of the Nepalese government said the President would always be alive in the hearts of all the peoples as he founded the Juche idea and wisely led the struggle of progressive humankind for independence. The secretary general of the Punjab Provincial Committee of the National Workers' Party of Pakistan and the chairman of the Society for the Study of Self-Reliance of Pakistan and other speakers lauded the President for devoting his all to the country and its people and global independence. |
