The Ethiopian Youth Study Group of the Juche Idea in its bulletin on April 3 carried an article titled "Kim Il Sung, holding high the banner of independence" with a portrait of smiling President Kim Il Sung.

The President performed undying exploits on behalf of the era and history under the uplifted banner of independence, the article said, and went on:

He worked heart and soul for global independence all his life and led the developing countries to build independent states firmly adhering to the principle of independence.

The banner of independence upheld by the President is encouraging the Korean people and the world progressive people.

The preparatory committee for celebrating the centenary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung in its bulletin on April 4 under the bannerline title "Comrade Kim Il Sung will always be alive in the hearts of the world progressive people" edited articles titled "Founder of the Juche idea", "Father of socialist Korea", "A life dedicated to the country's reunification" and "Great man recognized by the world".

The bulletin praised the feats he performed for national liberation, victory in the Fatherland Liberation War and the nation-building.

The President met many heads of state of various countries and political and public figures, the bulletin said, adding he was a great man recognized by the world.
