The letter said the joint meeting was held in Copenhagen to mark the Day of the Sun under the co-sponsorship of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association and the Danish preparatory committee for commemorating the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung.

The President was praised as the most prominent statesman and the anti-imperialist fighter representing the 20th century not only by the Korean people but by the world people aspiring after progress and loving peace, it noted.

He worked hard to realize the independent and peaceful reunification of the country and to ensure peace on the Korean Peninsula and put forth numerous proposals for reunification acceptable to every body, it said.

The north-south declarations adopted in 2000 and 2007 reflect the great desire of the President for the country's reunification and they are the result of the leadership of Kim Jong Il who worked heart and soul for a solution to the issues cropping up due to the division of the nation, it added.

It extended invariable support to the just cause of the Korean people for the victory of socialism under the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un who is firmly defending the Juche line of the President and the banner of Songun provided by Kim Jong Il.
