Upon hearing the news of peculiar performances being given by foreign artistes and overseas Korean artistes, an increasing number of people are visiting theatres.

The Ponghwa Art Theatre, the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre, the Pyongyang Grand Theatre, the Central Youth Hall, the Music Hall of the Pyongyang Kim Won Gyun Conservatory and the Yun I Sang Concert Hall and the Pyongyang Circus Theatre were packed to their capacities with people from all walks of life, youth and students and artistes in the city, foreign guests and overseas compatriots on Saturday.

The performers put on the stage choruses, songs, instrumental music, dances, acrobatic pieces and other colorful numbers, missing very much the kind-hearted President Kim Il Sung who showed profound loving care for the participants in the spring festival, his face beaming with a broad smile.

Foreign artistes sang the immortal revolutionary paean "Song of General Kim Il Sung" in boundless reverence for him, striking a chord with the audience.

Put on the stage were "Cantata to Marshal Kim Il Sung", male solo of the art troupe of Koreans in China, "Song of Loyalty", female octet of the Army Ensemble of Mongolia, and immortal masterpiece "Nostalgia", violin solo of the art troupe of Koreans in the U.S.

Piano solo "Arirang" played by the chairperson of the Japan-Korea Society for Music and Art Interchange deeply impressed the audience with its fine rendition.

The Finnish quintet put on the stage several numbers including "Song of Finland" which shows the emotion and inner world peculiar to the Finnish people.

The Dance Troupe of Kiev Dance Theater of Ukraine represented dances of various countries with tested and elegant dance movements.

Acrobats of China, Russia, Egypt, Japan and the U.S. presented numbers such as "Revolving flower plates", "Plastic Swinging" and "Seesawing" to the tune of rhythmic melodies.

People presented floral baskets, bouquets and flowers to the performers in their successful performances.
