Attending it were Kim Yong Nam. president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, Kim Ki Nam and Choe Thae Bok, secretaries of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the DPRK SPA who doubles as co-chairman of the international preparatory committee and chairman of the DPRK preparatory committee, Kim Yong Il, secretary of the C.C., the WPK, and officials concerned.

Also present there were Guy Dupre, Ibrahim Mantu, Anders Kristensen and Sumiko Shimizu, co-chairpersons of the international preparatory committee, Socorro Gomes, president of the World Peace Council, Manik Mukherjee, general secretary of the International Anti-Imperialism Coordinating Committee, and delegations and delegates of different countries, regions and international organizations.

Handed over at the meeting were certificates of honorary titles, floral baskets, orders, gifts and congratulatory banners presented to the three commanders of Mt. Paektu and the dear respected Kim Jong Un by the international preparatory committee, preparatory committees of regions and different countries, international organizations and organizations of friendship and solidarity with the Korean people.

Speeches were made at the meeting.

Ibrahim Mantu said that preparatory committees were organized to celebrate the centenary of the birth of Kim Il Sung in many countries of the world, international and regional preparatory committees were formed consisting of world-famous personages and special political and cultural events took place on a large-scale in different parts of the world to praise the peerlessly great men.

He went on:

Hundreds of kinds of books praising the great persons and thousands of works revering them were created and produced to mark the centenary of the birth of the President.

Different countries of the world presented floral baskets, gifts and honorary titles to the great men of Mt. Paektu.

Jesus Antonio Carlos Hernandez, general secretary of the Central Committee of the People's Socialist Party of Mexico, noted that General Secretary Kim Jong Il successfully carried forward the cause of Juche with the same idea and traits as the President had.

Thanks to the leadership of Kim Jong Un who is identical to the President and Kim Jong Il, the future of the DPRK is bright, he added.

The meeting serves as a significant occasion which y demonstrated the desire and aspiration of the progressives of the world, Yang Hyong Sop said, expressing belief that the participants will make all efforts for accomplishing the cause of global independence.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted and an appeal to the progressives of the world read out at the meeting.
