A military parade took place at Kim Il Sung Square in Pyongyang in the presence of the dear respected Kim Jong Un. The parade strikingly demonstrated the strong will and stamina of the Korean army and people.

In particular, a congratulatory speech made by Kim Jong Un at the event gave great encouragement to the Korean people.

Evening of fireworks displaying the 100-year history of Kim Il Sung's nation was held in the capital of Pyongyang and provinces of the country. They represented the wishes of the Korean people and the world progressives for immortality of the President.

Art performances in praise of the brilliant life of the President, who devoted his all to the country and the people, were given at local theaters, cultural houses and outdoor stages.

Mass gymnastic displays by schoolchildren were held at provincial seats to add to festive mood.

The venue of the 14th Kimilsungia Festival in Pyongyang, venues of Kimilsungia shows in provinces and Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia greenhouses in cities and counties were crowded with visitors recollecting the great feats of the President.

The celebrations included national photo exhibition, state book exhibition, national fine art festival, state fine art exhibition and state industrial art exhibition.

People also enjoyed the holiday at Mangyongdae Pleasure Ground, Kaeson Youth Park Funfair and other pleasure grounds and funfairs.

At the Taesongsan Pleasure Ground there was a friendship gathering of the participants in the 28th April Spring Friendship Art Festival.

Streets of Pyongyang and local areas were decorated with fantastic electric light displays.

Special dishes were served at public catering establishments, including Okryu and Chongnyu restaurants, in Pyongyang and local areas of the country on this occasion.
