Brazilian President Calls for Developing Education

Pyongyang, April 19 (KCNA) -- Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff on Saturday during the two-day summit of the Americas said providing decent education for the people was a key goal during her presidency, adding that her government will seek both fair treatment of all citizens and a stronger economy.

"High-quality education should be the primary objective for governments in Latin America," Rousseff said. "That would put us in a position to innovate in science and technology."

She stressed that an educated population stands the best chance to benefit from science and technology, while the 21st century will be experiencing very fast technological advancement.
