It is the imperialists' "theory of strength" and a long-harbored way of thinking that the strong can pressurize any country and, furthermore, put the world under control, the article notes, and goes on:

Concession and submission in confrontation with the imperialists advocating the above-said "theory" mean death.

Any concession makes imperialists more arrogant. They are becoming more outrageous before the weak.

Independence can never be defended by talking only and the prosperity and development of the country can hardly be achieved through mendicancy.

An army can provide the surest guarantee for the prosperity of the country and the nation.

Arms should serve the popular masses in accomplishing their cause of independence, the socialist cause, both in name and reality. The army should properly perform its mission, regarding the idea of the leader as its faith. Only such army can emerge victorious in confrontation with imperialism. This has been proved by the practical experience gained by the DPRK.

It was the army that took the lead in upholding the Juche idea whenever the Korean revolution faced a stern trial.

Arms should be countered with arms and the revolution should be guaranteed by them. The validity of this philosophy of the Workers' Party of Korea has been clearly proved in the standoff between the DPRK and the U.S. which has become fierce since the 1990s.
