They laid a floral basket before a full-length painting of Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il standing together at the DPRK embassy in Tashkent on April 15, Day of the Sun before paying tribute to them.

Present there were Sok Myong Son, chairman of the International United Confederation of Koreans, Ju Yong Il, chairman of the Elders' Association of Korean Cultural Tradition in Uzbekistan, and its vice-chairmen, heads of Korean art groups and other Koreans.

A celebration meeting of Koreans in Uzbekistan was held in Dostobod City on April 13 on the same occasion.

At the meeting a speaker praised Kim Il Sung as kind-hearted father of the people as he was possessed of matchless wisdom, outstanding leadership ability and exceptionally noble popular traits.

A performance was given by Korean artistes.
