Many State Leaders Moved by Kim Il Sung's Virtues

Pyongyang, April 20 (KCNA) -- Many heads of state in the world had expressed their profound reverence for President Kim Il Sung, deeply moved by his lofty virtues. Among them was Manuel Pinto Da Costa, president of the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe. It was in October Juche 71 (1982) when he came to Pyongyang at the invitation of Kim Il Sung. Answering questions on knotty problems related to the international political affairs, Kim Il Sung was often directing his eyes to the table clock ahead of him. When the table clock stroke 6 in the afternoon, he kindly asked Manuel Pinto Da Costa if it was not the time for him to pray, and said a room was already prepared for his prayer. Manuel Pinto Da Costa expressed sincere thanks to Kim Il Sung for deep attention even to his country's customs. Back home, he told reporters: I took a praying in the room prepared personally by President Kim Il Sung. During my one-minute prayer, I looked back on the history of great persons. There had been no great man in the world's history, for whom I had respect and admiration. But there is a distinguished, great person produced by the 20th century. He is HE Kim Il Sung, president of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. |
