Congratulations from General Secretary of Lao Political Party

Pyongyang, April 21 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the Central Military Commission of the WPK, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, Friday received a congratulatory message from Lao President Choummaly Sayasone, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and chairman of the Central Committee of Defence and Security of Laos.

The message said:

I extend warm congratulations to you on your election as first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK at the fifth session of the 12th Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK on April 13, 2012.

Your election to the top post of the country is an expression of the absolute trust in you of the party, government and people of the DPRK.

I am convinced that the government and people of the DPRK would register greater and fresh achievements in accomplishing the cause of building a thriving socialist nation under the outstanding and wise guidance of the WPK headed by you.

I hope the traditional friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries would further develop in the interests of the two peoples.
