The uprising put an end to the fascist rule of Syngman Rhee dictatorial regime and the spirit displayed by its participants has been carried forward still today, the statement said.

Lee Myung Bak and Park Geun Hye undisguisedly set in motion the government power, spread lies through media, staged black propaganda and mobilized military for "National Assembly" election as Syngman Rhee did in the past, it deplored.

The present situation calls for frustrating their rigged election and media propaganda moves in the same way as the Syngman Rhee dictatorial regime was pulled down, it noted, calling on all people to get united to firmly stand against the dictatorial forces in the spirit of the April 19 uprising.
