Present there were a number of foreigners, including representatives of the international and national preparatory committees for commemorating the 100th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung, delegations and delegates of different countries and international organizations, those who had honor of being received by the President and leader Kim Jong Il and their descendants and dignitaries of various countries.

The festival lauded the undying feats of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and strikingly displayed the reverence of the world's progressives for them.

Speakers at an international meeting for supporting Korea's reunification elaborated on Kim Il Sung's devoted efforts for Korea's sovereignty and independence and cause of global independence.

They referred to the energetic activities Kim Jong Il conducted for the peace and reunification of Korea under the banner of Songun (military-first) politics.

Meanwhile, the festival participants visited Kim Il Sung's old home in Mangyongdae in Pyongyang, where they laid a floral basket in their joint name and planted memorial trees around the home.

Chairman of the China-Korea Friendship Association Wu Donghe said the visit to Mangyongdae makes his yearning for the President run higher.

"Kim Il Sung, the greatest person in the world, will always remain alive in the hearts of the world people," he stressed.

They also had a gathering in front of Kim Jong Il's old home in the secret camp of Mt. Paektu.

Chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association Christer Lundgren, who is chairman of the Nordic preparatory committee for commemorating Kim Il Sung's 100th birth anniversary and chairman of the Swedish national preparatory committee for commemorating Kim Il Sung's 100th birth anniversary, said at the gathering:

"Kim Jong Il's devoted efforts for the country and the wellbeing of the people strike all people to the hearts.

His undying feats will remain long with the history of Kim Il Sung's Korea."

They toured the venue of the 14th Kimilsungia Festival and held an international joint meeting for celebrating Kim Il Sung's 100th birth anniversary and a joint friendship gathering.

DPRK orders and medals were awarded to foreign personages during the festival.
