52 years have passed since the April 19 Popular Uprising, but such rampage as execution of patriotic figures demanding peaceful reunification, crackdown on progressive media and popular masses through the enforcement of the horror policy backed by "the Security Law", rampant irregularities and corruption, economic bankruptcy, deterioration of people's living, etc. have become more horrible under the Lee Myung Bak regime, the article deplored.

It called for putting a definite end to the rampage of pro-U.S. and sycophantic conservative forces in this land by carrying forward the spirit of the April 19 Popular Uprising which demanded an end to the rule of traitors and national independence, peaceful reunification and democracy.

Lee's regime should roll back its hostile policy towards the DPRK and opt for implementing the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration at an early date, it urged.

The article also demanded the regime stop joint military exercises with the U.S. aimed to invade the north, abrogate unequal treaties and halt at once such acts of treachery as submission to Japan crackdown on the movement for reunification and violation of the right to existence.
