DPRK's Holidays Celebrated by WIDF

Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- Celebrations took place in Brazil under the sponsorship of the Women's International Democratic Federation. They were to mark the centenary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung and congratulate the Koreans on holding leader Kim Jong Il in high esteem as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea forever and electing Kim Jong Un as first secretary of the WPK and chairman of the Central Military Commission of the WPK.

A meeting, seminar, book, photo and handicraft exhibition and film show were held between April 8 and 12.

Displayed at their venues were works of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and photos of their undying feats and books, photos and handicrafts introducing the true picture of the DPRK.

Films shown included "Song to the Party", "Korea Says with Bitter Tears" and "Grand Gymnastic and Artistic Performance 'Arirang'".

Present at the celebrations were delegations and delegates of nearly 80 organizations of 60 countries to the 15th Congress of the Women's International Democratic Federation, Brazilian women, the DPRK ambassador to Brazil and staff members of his embassy and a delegation of the Democratic Women's Union of Korea.
