Seen before the statues was a floral basket sent by Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the KPA.

Laid before them were floral baskets in the name of the party, armed forces and power bodies, social organizations, ministries, national institutions, units of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, institutions of science, education, literature and arts, public health, media, factories and enterprises, farms and schools as well as flowers.

Service persons, people from all walks of life and school youth and children laid floral baskets, bouquets and flowers before the equestrian statues of the President and Kim Jong Il at the Mansudae Art Studio and made bows.

Floral baskets were placed before statues of the President in different parts of the country.
