In the 1990s, they built the Anbyon Youth Power Station by displaying the revolutionary soldier spirit.

Modernly-equipped essential foodstuff factories and chicken, pig and catfish farms and other stockbreeding bases took their shapes across the country by the efforts of the servicepersons. Also, Okryu and Chongnyu restaurants, Taedongmun Cinema, Pyongyang Kim Won Gyun Conservatory and State Theatre were fashionably face-lifted by them.

Leader Kim Jong Il considered the servicepersons to be a driving force in building a thriving nation and called on them to make a breakthrough on all fronts of socialist construction.

Now the servicepersons are pressing ahead with construction of 100,000 housing units in Pyongyang, the construction of Pyongyang Folklore Park and many other projects.
