Receptions, remembrance meetings, book and photo exhibitions and film shows were held between April 6 and 13 at the DPRK missions in the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Britain, Italy, Switzerland, Peru, Ethiopia, Democratic Congo, Libya, Equatorial Guinea and South Africa, the DPRK permanent mission at the United Nations and the DPRK permanent mission at the UN Office in Geneva and its international organizations.

On display in the venues of the events were works of Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, photos of their great revolutionary exploits and books and photos introducing Songun Korea.

Participants in the film shows watched Korean films including "For Liberation of the Country", "Arms of the DPRK" and "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation".

Present there on invitation were officials of the governments, political parties, parliaments, organizations, institutions, groups for studying the Juche idea and friendship and solidarity organizations, personages of international and regional organizations, non-governmental organizations and diplomats of various countries.

The general secretary of the Central Committee of the New Communist Party of Britain said Kim Il Sung was a distinguished thinker and theoretician and very modest, unworldly-minded and kind-hearted father of the people, adding that the feats he performed for the Korean revolution and the world socialist movement would last forever.

The general secretary of the Movement for Peace and Socialism of Italy said the progressives deeply respected Kim Il Sung as an outstanding leader of the world socialist movement, adding that the Juche idea founded by him powerfully inspires the people in their struggle for independence against imperialism and for socialism.

The deputy general secretary of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea said he was a good friend who helped the African people in their anti-imperialist national liberation struggle and the efforts to build a new society both materially and morally.
