Choe Il Ryong, vice-minister of the Light Industry, told KCNA:

Kim Jong Un in the work clearly indicated the way and methods for the development of light industry.

Under his deep care, a new stride is being made in production of consumer goods.

I will work hard to make modernly-equipped light industry factories operate at full capacity."

Ri Nam Jung, department director of the Ministry of Foodstuff and Daily Necessities Industry, said:

"To better the people's livelihood and improve the nation's economy was a noble desire of Kim Jong Il and it is also the steadfast will of the Workers' Party of Korea.

We will do our best to provide in time raw materials to foodstuff and daily necessities factories so as to ensure their full-capacity operation.

We will also strive to apply more locally-available raw materials to production.

We will always take the lead in the drive to carry into practice Kim Jong Un's plan for building an economic power, with transparent revolutionary faith and pure mind."
