Prof. and Dr. Pak Kyong Sik, section chief for scientific research at the Korean Revolution Museum, told KCNA:

"The work carries the steadfast will of Kim Jong Un to hold leader Kim Jong Il in high esteem as eternal general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and remain true to his revolutionary idea and cause.

It was an ardent desire of all the servicepersons and civilians to have a statue of the leader who performed great feats for the country and the people, the times and history.

To meet this desire, Kim Jong Un energetically guided the project for building statues of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill in a very short period with the Day of the Sun (April 15) as an occasion. He also worked heart and soul to spruce up the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun and thus realize the cause of perpetuating the memory of the leader.

His intense loyalty and strong sense of moral obligation has touched the world people's hearts."

Jon Hyon Chol, an officer of the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, said:

"The work will serve as a great programme for the new centenary of the Juche revolution.

Kim Jong Un in the work defined Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as the guiding idea of the WPK, thus providing an ever-victorious banner of the Korean revolution.

Very bright is the future of our country advancing under the banner of great Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism."
