The Peruvian National Independent Movement for Free Voting's Union and the General Kim Jong Il Peruvian Amicable Institute said in a joint statement on April 21:

All the progressives, political parties and organizations of the world significantly celebrated the Day of the Sun, praising the great sun of mankind. But puppet Lee Myung Bak committed such hideous provocation as hurting the dignity of the sun, going against this trend. Lee's reckless acts are sparking off the resentment of not only the Korean people but of the people of all countries including Peru.

The DPRK is an ever-victorious power with tremendous military capability and economic potential. Under the wise guidance of the dear respected Kim Jong Un, supreme leader, the fraternal Korean people will dynamically advance for peace and prosperity while shattering any provocation.

The Peruvian Group for the Study of Kimilsungism in a statement on April 19 noted that the Lee Myung Bak puppet group of traitors perpetrated again such hideous crime as defaming the celebrations of the Day of the Sun. The statement went on:

What the Lee group committed is high treason unpardonable in any part of the world.

We vehemently denounce the Lee group of traitors for its hideous crimes and fully support the statement of a spokesman for the Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army and the statement of the DPRK government, political parties and organization which declared a stern punishment to the group.
