KPA Anniversary Celebrated

Pyongyang, May 2 (KCNA) -- A meeting was held in Vietnam and Korean book and photo exhibitions and film shows in Russia, Syria, Myanmar and Nigeria between April 22 and 30 on the occasion of the 80th birth anniversary of the heroic Korean People's Army. Displayed at their venues were books and photos of the Songun revolutionary leadership feats of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and photos showing the course of victory and glory covered by the KPA. Officials and people of relevant countries attended the events. Present there on invitation were officials of the DPRK missions there. Films shown included one showing the military parade for celebrating the centenary of the birth of the President. The commander of Hero Division No. 3 of Military District No. 1 of the People's Army of Vietnam said that he was deeply moved to see the invincible might of the KPA through the military parade for celebrating the 100th birth anniversary of the President. The director of a trade company of Russia noted that the scene of all service personnel and people responding with stormy cheers to the speech by the dear respected Kim Jong Un at the military parade was very emotional, adding no one will dare provoke the DPRK in the world. The director of the Myanmar Medical Research Institute said: Korea that was reduced to a colony of the Japanese imperialists as it had no proper army a century ago now has become a military power no one dares provoke because it has been led by great leaders. The military parade for celebrating the centenary of the President's birth was a historic event which powerfully demonstrated the tremendous might of the KPA. The director of the Art and Cultural Council of the Ministry of Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria noted that the KPA is an ever-victorious army, adding that only victory and glory will be in store for the KPA dynamically advancing under the banner of Songun. |
