Birth Anniversary of Kim Il Sung Observed in China, Vietnam

Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- Korean book, photo and handicraft exhibitions were opened in China and Vietnam on April 24 on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung. On display in their venues were works of Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, photos on their exploits, photos showing revolutionary activities of the dear respected Kim Jong Un, books and photos introducing the DPRK and handicrafts associated with wisdom and skills of Koreans. The vice-director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Heilongjiang Provincial People's Government said in his speech that Kim Il Sung was a peerlessly great man who embarked on the road of the revolution in his early years and liberated the country. He said that the exhibition would offer the visitors an opportunity to know better about the Korean people dynamically accelerating the building of a thriving socialist nation under the leadership of Kim Jong Un. The curator of Ho Chi Minh Museum noted that the exhibition would greatly contribute to developing the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the parties, governments and peoples of the two countries on a higher level. The permanent vice-minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam noted that the exhibition would help the Vietnamese people deeply know about the brilliant revolutionary career of Kim Il Sung and his exploits performed for the development of the friendly relations between the two countries. |
