Honorary professorship went to Kim Il U, advisor of the Korean Health Workers Association in Japan, and honorary doctorate to Kim Yong Il, chairman of the Korean Health Workers Association in Japan, Kim Yun Bom, chairman of the Medical Science Committee of the Federation of Koreans in the U.S., and Pak Mun Jae, vice-chairman of the Federation of Koreans in the U.S.

They made a contribution to the development of medical science and technology in the homeland by taking part several times in Pyongyang symposiums on medical science of Koreans at home and abroad.
