Kim Yong Gil, an official of the province, told KCNA:

"The provincial computer centre was built in Sinuiju City on a modern basis and similar ones in all other cities and counties of the province.

The province dispatched many IT experts to production fields and educational and scientific agencies. They are now making achievements in solving technical problems in production and development of education and science.

Production processes and management activities have been put on an IT basis at many factories and farms of the province, including the Amnokgang Combined Foodstuff Factory.

Educational aid system program and automatic lighting system program have been applied to several universities, schools and cultural houses.

In the future, too, we will direct big efforts to developing IT industry to make a great contribution to building a thriving nation."
