Pyongyang, May 4 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Friday brands the Lee Myung Bak regime of south Korea as a heinous group of traitors only seeking confrontation with the compatriots in the north. The south Korean conservative group regards as a thorn in the flesh the inter-Korean relations which had developed on good terms since the June 15 joint declaration was published, the daily said in a bylined article, adding: The group has persistently sought to turn back the era of independent reunification and repeat the history of confrontation with the compatriots in the north. After seating Lee Myung Bak in the chair of "president", the south Korean conservatives have tried hard to deteriorate inter-Korean relations. The south Korean reactionary forces came into being based on treachery, not any common idea and have escalated the confrontation with compatriots and anti-reunification moves to survive. It is not surprising that traitor Lee, representing the group of sordid traitors, has taken the path of the north-south confrontation and a war. The plight faced by Lee is behind its desperate bid to escalate the confrontation with compatriots. The Lee group kicked up unprecedented racket to dare hurt the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK. This is aimed to blur the critical eyes of the masses focused on the conservative regime. The regime is pushing a war chariot of the U.S. with all its efforts out of the calculation to elicit support from its master and prolong its remaining days. It is the reason that the Lee group is working hard to escalate inter-Korean confrontation bereft of reason and discretion. As had already been declared, the DPRK will launch its own style sacred war, war of retaliation, by putting into use all its military potentials in order to mercilessly wipe out the Lee group and turn the bases of provocation to ashes. |
