The Zimbabwean paper Herald noted in an article titled "DPRK celebrates the centenary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung" that the President was not only the leader of the country but tender-hearted father of all Koreans.

The President always found himself among the people, considering believing in them as in Heaven as his maxim, it added.

Tribuna Popular of Venezuela said:

President Kim Il Sung was a peerlessly great man boundlessly revered by world people for his undying exploits. He defeated the two formidable U.S. and Japanese imperialisms, demonstrating the sovereignty and dignity of the Korean people before the whole world.

The Indian paper Indian and World Event carried articles titled "Founder of socialist Korea" and "The sun is eternal" under the headline "On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung".

The Lao newspapers Heng Ngan and Noum Lao, L'Avenir of Democratic Congo, Sun Rise of Uganda, Uhuru of Tanzania and Noticias of Mozambique carried articles praising the glorious revolutionary career and undying exploits of the President.
