This work published on May 5, 1991 clarifies the advantages and vitality of Korean socialism centred on the popular masses, an embodiment of the Juche idea, and the solidity and invincibility of the socialist system whereby the leader, the party and people are single-mindedly united, the article says, and goes on:

The great Juche idea and Songun idea are the steadfast guidelines guaranteeing the invincibility of Korean socialism.

It is the Songun idea that comprehensively reflects all the principles and requirements of the Juche idea for achieving independence of the popular masses.

Now the Workers' Party of Korea solves all the problems arising in socialist construction, guided by the Songun idea. The dignity and might of socialist Korea has been radically exalted thanks to the WPK's Songun politics which puts forward the People's Army as a driving force of the revolution and dynamically pushes forward socialist construction in reliance upon it.

The Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il became the main source of strength which developed the revolutionary ranks of the DPRK into those of revolutionary comrades who share the same intention, purpose, idea and will.

The single-minded unity of all the service personnel and people who absolutely trust and follow their leader serves as an engine to achieve fresh victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche and the cause of socialism. The slogan "Let us defend with our very lives the Party Central Committee headed by the great Comrade Kim Jong Un!" is enshrined in the hearts of all the service personnel and people as invariable faith.

The Korean People's Army has grown to be an invincible revolutionary army with modern offensive and defensive means and strong nuclear deterrence and the whole country has turned into an invulnerable bulwark which no enemy dares attack thanks to the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il who gave top priority to military affairs.

Korean socialism will be ever-victorious as it has military power strong enough to beat back any imperialist aggression at a single blow.
